What is cuticle care?
I push back the cuticle with a pusher tool, I use an electric file to buff the cuticles gently and finally I clip the excess dead skin or hang nails with cuticle scissors.

Why do you apply gel before soaking the feet?
Gel polish is designed to be applied to dry oil free nails, soaking the nails can cause lifting, chipping or peeling of the gel. While some salons apply the gel to wet toes, I follow the manufacturer’s directions on all products for best results.

Why do you not update your social media anymore?
For my own mental health, I have decided that I only want to interact with the parts of the world I can interact with directly. I post photos on my Websight and have a blog. That’s plenty of the internet for me.

What is a sani tab and why do you include it in pedicures?
Sani tabs are a tablet I add into the pedicure water to prevent the spread of bacteria from the water to the feet. I wash and sanitize the bowl after each service, but I cannot control the city water, so this process provides my guests an extra layer of safety.

Why is tea tree oil included in all pedicures?
Tea tree oil is a natural anti-fungal and anti-bacterial. It is also a heavier oil so it will hydrate the skin for a longer period of time before it evaporates.

Are uv/led lights safe for the skin?
Yes, UV and LED nail lights are safe for skin. It’s been proven that it doesn’t cause skin cancer because it doesn’t contain BV rays that burn the skin like the sun, the lights only contain UV rays that are harmless to skin.

Are electric files safe?
Yes, electric files are safe here to use on enhancements, natural nails and skin. In the wrong hands, like all professional equipment, it takes training and certification to safely use an electric file. I am certified by a state board to use an electric file.

What is EMA and MMA
EMA vs. MMA Acrylic
EMA (Ethyl Methacrylate) is the safe, professional-grade acrylic used in salons—flexible, durable, and designed for nails. MMA (Methyl Methacrylate) is a harsh chemical not approved for nail services; it bonds too strongly, can damage the natural nail, and may cause allergic reactions or long-term nail problems. -
Why are all my products hima free?
I choose hima free products as a standard of service to always choose the safest nail products I can and hima is one of the most common chemicals that can cause skin irritation, I also try to purchase 9free or organic when possible. this is just a personal standard I set for my salon. this does make my product more expensive, but I believe it is worth it in the long run.

Why do i need a rebalance
a rebalance is a process that happens every 3 to 4 weeks. As your nail grows it will cause your enhancement to be unbalanced, risking breaking or damage to the natural nail. I remove any lifting, shorten and thin the enhancement, prep, apply, and file, refreshing the set and moving the apex back.

What is the difference between special and standard shapes?
Standard shapes are shapes that are included in all services, they include square, squovel, ovel, almond, coffin, round.
Special shapes cost extra and include but are not limited to stiletto, talon, flair, duck, anything using dual forms etc.

What art can you do?
I still don’t have a good answer for this question. You're welcome to text me a picture of what you want or look at my gallery.
This is a list of what I have decals, glitter, chrome, alcohol inks, air brush, glow in the dark, blooming gel, charms, gems, stamping plates over 250 design plates.

What could make it unsafe for me to get a pedicure?
If you have a cut on your foot or leg that is in a scab stage I can’t soke your feet because it could open up and risk infection. I might still be able to do polish but not soaking or hot towels.
If you have visible swelling or infection, I can’t do any service on that body part as it could spread or cause permanent damage. Ill refer you to a podiatrist.

Why will you not cut out ingrown nails?
Its outside of a nail technicians license to do any service that could cause damage to living skin or be considered a podiatrist’s scope of practice. I cannot cut calluses off, remove ingrown nails, or drain infections. please see a pediatrist.

Why can you not remove my dip powder nails?
I have an allergy to the glue used in dip powder nails if I remove them or am in the vicinity of the glue, I will get an allergic reaction called dip flue.
